Re: Show your Vintage!
Love that re-finish on your V6, fantastic.
I'd like to buy one and change the colour to british racing green, but i'm not that technically minded to do it. And I doubt a can of Hammerite would do lol
When I get my new one i'll post a pic.

Re: Show your Vintage!
At first, i wanted a "cheap" guitar beside my more expensive ones, on which i don´t have to take to much care about. But now i love this guitar so much that i guess, i have to buy another "cheap" guitar ... ;-)

Re: Show your Vintage!
This is how it started
Being an old Hippy I have always wanted a Replica fool guitar and happened to show a girlfriend (who is a professional artist) the Vintage Fool inspired SG ….
She promptly said she could do that as a Christmas present for me
so I got a lo-res pic of Eric Clapton’s Original fool and we went from there
I managed to get a Black Vintage SG from ebay for £80
I masked, sanded and primed the body
And she turned into this, I am really pleased with the detail she has added

Olá, André!
Já calculava que me fosses reconhecer pelo meu material.
Aqui usei mesmo o meu nome. Rock on!
Sorry for the private on-line talk, guys. Now we're back to the forum's official language!
ps: Andre, you shouldn't have quoted such a big post!

I had one of them! Unfortunately Vintage didn't go over it fully in the QC so it fell apart within a few days .TooTall wrote:Here's a crap pic of my Vintage.... (better pic now)
Still though, great Gibson alternative

Re : Show your Vintage
Hi - I have one of the earlier model VHE100CS - before the headstock was changed to PRS style. It has been my main gig guitar since 2004. I have changed the pickups and tone / volume controls. The Gretsch style tone / volume give the guitar a real classy look and I have had many enquiries at gigs about the guitar.

Re: Show your Vintage!
My three Vintages:
Professional quality guitars for silly silly prices. An AV3 for those jazzy moments; a V6 with added bridge humbucker - my "workhorse" guitar; a V100 for when I need a Les Paul sound.
Cheers,
John.

Re: Show your Vintage!
The light was awful in the room so I had to use the flash which completely ruined the color of the guitar
