Owns anybody else a Vintage AV3H Empty Owns anybody else a Vintage AV3H

Hi, I just registered here because I was looking for stuff concerning Vintage guitars in the web.

Is there anybody arround here who also owns a AV3H? Brilliant guitar, I´ve bought it used about a year ago! I also had a V100GT and sold it, what was really stupid. I also have a Gibson with P90s (one of the new 50th tribute models for a also quite reasonable price) which I love, but the Vintage was really worth keeping it, what I missed Embarassed .

I am from Germany and the Vintage guitars over here are a little more expensive like in the UK for example, I got the V100GT for 199 British Pounds and here in Germany now we pay between € 333 and € 400 for it. I probably will try to get one again from the UK, but the dealer Dolphin obviously took the Vintage gear out of their programme, does anybody know another good online dealer in the UK who also ships to other countries? I also might buy a V100HB or IT.

In case anybody has one of the LPs for sale, please let me know.

Have fun with your Vintage guitars!

I hope, that I wrote this posting into the correct usergroup, otherwise do not blame on me to much please.

I too own an AV3H, which I have just recorded an entire album with. It just makes everything I play sound so "grown up"... perfectly normal blues licks sound really "BB King-ish", and when I wind up the gain there's just so much depth to the tone. I can also use less gain than with a solid body, as the natural sustain of the guitar requires less grunt to make the notes sing. This in turn means that I have more dynamic range available - there's a greater range of loud/soft that I can create with just my fingers. It all makes for a wonderfully responsive instrument. I have owned a Gibson 335 in the past, as well as an Epiphone Sheraton, but neither of these guitars put as much of a smile on my face as the cheapo Vintage.

The same happens here in Portugal, where the local importer is extremely greedy (the price of the Goldtop on their website is 466€).

I have bought online from Digital Village and from Guitarbitz. I can recomend both of them, their service is very good.
