Agile are decent guitars. I see them on the local classifieds for $250 and up for a AL-2000 (LP copy).
There are a few vids on Youtube comparing the Gibson to the Agile, some hate them and some love them.

I've seen these. There are a few US stores that specialise in selling them. I've heard they are decent quality.
Other brands to look out for are Orville and Burney. Both no longer produce guitars but they can be found on ebay and selling second hand. They are great copies. A friend of mine collects them and some examples are better than the real thing.

They seem to have a reputable reputation and man I LOVE the finished on some of those guitars. Really sucks that we can't get them here in Europe (importing costs a hell of a lot and you lose any insurance on shipping and warranty afterwards). They should sell them through a big european retailer like Thomann or Musicstore. I'd have a couple in a heartbeat!

Black Beauty with P90s
I had always loved Les Paul Customs “Black Beauty” in Black with Gold hardware style. I also wanted a cheap black LP style guitar to fit my Boss Guitar Synth pup to………
I fell on this…… It’s Thormann’s own Brand Les Paul It cost me all of £80 new!
The build quality (Mahogany body), Hardware and action were good..
The Electrics were so cheap and nasty it was almost a joke……
So I replaced the pots and wiring and put in a pair of Humbucker shaped GFS “Dream” P-90’s and added vintage knobs and pointers
These pups are worth looking at if you fancy replacing one of your ‘buckers with a P90 and at around £20 each are a Bargain!

So for less than £150, I have a great looking Les Paul that has a totally different sound………

Re: other les paul copies
I recently bought an Agile Les Paul. I currently own 3 Gibson Les Pauls, 2 Epiphone Les Paul Customs, one an Elitist MIJ and a 2000 special edition made in Korea, plus my V100 GT. To say the least this guitar holds it's own in my collection.
I was looking at buying a lemon drop and found one in Ontario for 599 retail. I was looking through the Rondo Music site. They are the Makes/importers of the Agiles from Korea. They are made to Kurt, the owners specs.
I got an Al3125 in HSBF (Honey Sunburst Flame) All I cans say is Wow. It was 449, and I got the Douglas case for 65 dollars. I ordered it at 7 a.m. on a Wednesday and it was delivered by UPS at 5 pm on Thursday. I was in the US at my daughters place in Maine. Rondo is in New Hampshire.
The guitar is a chambered lightweight with Alnico V pickups, Grover tuners full Mother of pearl inlays, and an ebony board. It has the Black Tusq Nut and the Graph Tec ResoMax NVS2 bridge w/graphite string saver saddles . This is the rundown on the guitar.

The case is pretty cool for 65 dollars. It is not a tight fit though.

Great tone amazing playability right out of the box. Fit and finish are perfect and I trughfully can't find anything wrong with it. The Grovers make it very slightly over balanced but a good wide strap takes car of it perfectly. A nylon strap is not recommended.
This is my new "lemon Drop"

Re: other les paul copies
The absolute very best Les Paul 'copies' were made by Tokai in the late 70s/early 80s. Their version of the 59 is closer to the real thing than anything Gibson has made since 1959! I believe Dave Gilmour and a couple of other guitarists lent some of their collections to Tokai and Tokai measured every last detail and basically cloned them.
They are as good as you'll ever get, followed by Greco and Burny guitars from the same era. Unfortunately, they are THAT good that if you want one, you'll be paying what you'd pay for a Gibson from the same era. The later ones... for me, it's pre '84 or don't bother, buy a Gibson.
The rest of the copies... they're good for the money, but nowhere near as good as 'the hype'.
